Washington, D.C. — The Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs held a hearing today to explore how information technology (IT) can be used to improve the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) disability claims processing system.

Washington, D.C. — The Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations held a hearing today on patient safety issues and administrative oversight lapses that resulted in the deaths of at least nine patients at a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital in Marion, Illinois. 

Washington, D.C. —Today, Representatives Steve Buyer (R-Ind.), and Mike Michaud (D-Maine), joined in a bipartisan effort to improve home ownership opportunities for veterans by urging Democrat and Republican leadership to include the provisions of H.R. 4539, the Department of Veterans Affairs Loan Guaranty Cost Reduction Act of 2007, in the economic stimulus bill.
